This morning, when I checked out my backyard garden (only a couple of feet wide), found that we have fruits on our mulberry tree. I was thrilled. Every time, after pruning the tree, new shoots and fruits will grow. I guest it is like us, when we get rid of unwanted old behavior, then only we have room to learn new things and grow.Look at the beauty of these mint leave, they are full of life under the early morning sunlight. I
could not resist but to take a shot to share with all. Next time, when you pay me a visit, I can make you a cup of freshly pick mint tea.

Hopefully, the only one left will grow well and produce some fruits for us too. I picked up almost 20 snails last night, thinking of releasing them to the nearby forest (yes, I stayed near forest reserved) but amazingly, this morning when I woke up, none of them left in the plastic bag, all of them (big and small) have escaped without a trace except one. They too have strong surviving spirit and team spirit.
Well, only when we slowed down our pace we can appreciate what nature got to offer. All these while, I have been thinking of upgrading my home to a semi-D. Not realising that I am already in paradise, as long as I know how to appreciate it. Be contented! I woke up to morning bird chipping, clean fresh forest reserved air and a small garden, that's haven already. Most of the time, we were trained to think of acquiring what we do not have instead of appreciate what we owned. Learning how to appreciate what we have would help to reduce unnecessary stress. I will enjoy this tranquility while I can.

Hi Juin,
ReplyDeleteGood to know you started writing.
Looking forward to your mint tea.
My aunt reads this magazine that explores the various garden herbs and plants for everyday ailments/use. Unfortunately it's in Chinese!
So many people claim so many cancer fighters these days... mangosteen is one, and most recent I heard is umbra. At some tipping point, it will get commercialized via MLM!(leave that to some enterprising individual!). I don't know what to believe anymore... too much clutter and hype in the marketplace these days.

My mum uses the mulberry leaves to boil drinking water sometimes. Do you do that as well?
ReplyDeleteYes, was told it is good for arthritis.
